Essay Writing

During my internship, I had also helped my mentor teacher by creating a writing plan. While creating the plan, I found that many others used the same structure to teach essay writing. I offered assistance with brainstorming, phrasing, and finding evidence. There are many things I would change about this lesson plan if my mentor teacher and I had more time. The first thing that comes to mind is to make more time to conference with each student. Since the students this semester worked so slowly with Jekyll and Hyde this semester, we couldn't give students enough time to plan and work on their essays.
