During my internship I had an assignment with which I had to teach a series of Grammar Lessons. First, I researched the deficiencies of my students, by looking at their college essays and identifying several areas where students may improve, before creating a plan to tackle structure.
1984 Unit Calendar and Lesson Plans
Throughout this semester I've revised and revised my 1984 Unit Plan. Looking back on it now, there was a lot of things I couldn't fit into my schedule. new things and problems popped up all the time, and I couldn't offer as much knowledge as I could have in the time it took to adjust all my lesson plans to fit a shorter schedule.

Although I have taken a year's break from teaching, teaching 1984 magnified my focus on misinformation, AI, and my fear of the future in which students cannot tell reality from fiction. Throughout the year, I have prepared a few materials in preparation for getting back into teaching, focusing on misinformation. I want students to learn how to think on their own, without the help of ChatGPT and other generative AI assistance.
